If you’re in/around Dallas (or want to travel to our wonderful city) on February 9, be sure to stop by CommunityCamp, an unconference focused on community management. The premise as we designed it, is that there’s a lot of community building knowledge scattered around the various user groups that might not typically interact. Sometimes from lack of need, sometimes from the fear of a .NET vs. RoR rumble.
Let’s bring community leaders and builders together from across technology boundaries. Let’s have the *Camp, JUG, RoR, .NET, Refresh and other organizers get together to talk about common challenges, successes and how you “do community”. Bring your people building, social networking, community empowering self to share with us all. It is a non-commercial event, organized by volunteers, with attendance free to all. The event will be held in Dallas, and out-of-town guests are welcome.
If you’re interested in attending, head to the Facebook event to sign up, and/or add your name to the wiki. Hope to see you there!
