Conversation Lab is a small, casual gathering of five people who want to think more clearly about how customers show up in everyday work.
Each session is built around conversation, not presentations. We talk through how customer conversations happen (or don’t), what gets lost between teams, and how people try to keep customers present in real decisions. Every session explores a different conversation pattern or technique, using the group’s real experiences as the raw material.
You don’t need to work directly with customers or follow a specific model to take part. If you’re curious about how customer conversations shape products, teams, and outcomes, you’ll be in good company.

If you work in product, community, support, or customer success, you’re probably dealing with the same customer-centric challenges as a lot of other people, whether you realize it or not.
And yet, most days, there’s no real place to talk about it. No space outside the meetings, dashboards, and deadlines to share what’s working, vent about what’s not, learn from each other, or just compare notes.
In hindsight, it’s pretty obvious what’s missing. We need a place to talk openly with peers who get the work. A place to think out loud, trade stories, and yes, nerd out a little with people like us.
That’s how Conversation Lab was born.

Everyone who joins a Conversation Lab event has been fully vetted and each event has a uniquely curated group of 5 attendees.
Attendees work at everything from startups to Fortune 50 companies and are chosen to ensure a great conversation. All attendees are highly experienced practitioners who have great things to add.
Invitations are for individual events but events often include returning attendees.
Virtual
Each Conversation Lab runs for two hours and meets midday in the US Central time zone.
There’s no fixed agenda. Each session follows the interests, questions, and real situations the group brings into the room.
Past conversations have explored things like:
Where customer understanding breaks down inside teams
How customer input gets filtered, summarized, or lost
Ways people try to keep customers present in everyday decisions
When conversation works better than research artifacts
The tradeoffs between speed, clarity, and depth in customer work
The topics change every time, but the focus stays the same: talking through real customer engagement challenges with peers who are living them.US
Tasty Snacks
Every attendee receives a box of tasty curated snacks that they can eat during the session. It’s an excellent way to make a fun virtual session into a fantastic community experience.
Each item in the snack box is specifically chosen to create interesting pairings and flavor combinations.
You never know what unique and sometimes odd snacks you might get, but a dash of bourbon sea salt or a dip in local mint honey will delight your taste buds!

WHAT IS THIS EVENT?
Conversation Lab is a small, facilitated conversation for people who want to stay close to customers in their day-to-day work.
It is designed for thoughtful peers who are trying to integrate customer perspective into real decisions, not just research artifacts or reports. The goal is not to arrive at answers, but to think more clearly together about how customer conversations actually work.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE EVENT?
Each Conversation Lab brings together five people for a two-hour, midday virtual session.
There is no presentation and no fixed agenda. The conversation follows the questions, situations, and tensions the group brings into the room. Each session explores one or more conversation patterns or techniques, using real experiences as the starting point.
The lab format means ideas are tried out in conversation. Some stick. Some don’t. That is part of the point.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Conversation Lab is for people working in product, customer experience, community, support, or adjacent roles who care about how customers show up in the work.
You do not need to work directly with customers, and you do not need to follow a specific framework or method. What matters is curiosity, reflection, and a willingness to talk openly about what is working and what is not.
This is a peer space. Everyone in the room brings something to the conversation.

AI Sessions is a gathering the Virtasant team hosts once a month online at no charge to the attendees.
