Blogging the Presidential '08

My buddy Dave is putting on a fun event on Monday. Check it out if you’re into politics, or blogging.

Who:
Blogfusion.com and BrainBand is hosting a nationwide President’s Race ’08 Blog-a-thon

What:
A day-long blog-a-thon to raise interest and awareness in the 2008 presidential election. Political party representatives, writers, bloggers, regular citizens, international onlookers and most importantly – future voters – can share their views and opinions on the candidates, parties, and the issues. Blogfusion.com is new and innovative software that allows bloggers to unite and build blog communities around a central theme. The President’s Race ’08 community will remain live following the blog-a-thon and active until the race is decided.

Where:
This is a nationwide event in which everyone can participate by going online to www.presidentsrace08.com. The event will also have a national headquarters open to the public and the media at:

Opening Bell Coffee
1409 S. Lamar St., Basement Retail #012
Dallas, TX 75215
www.openingbellcoffee.com
(214) 565-0383

The first 100 President’s Race ’08 bloggers at Opening Bell Coffee will receive a free coffee. Party representatives and VIPs will be in attendance throughout the day. Free parking is available in the black gated lot across from the South Side building on Belleview Street.

When:
Presidents Day, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., Feb. 19

Why:
With the presidential election a little over two years away and hopefuls beginning to announce their candidacy, Presidents Day marks a tremendous opportunity for people to start discussing the crucial issues in the most open and public forum available.
