CommunityCamp ’08

CommunityCamp ’08 – Dallas took place this weekend. We had a great space thanks to the Improving Enterprises folks. The event was incredibly fun, and I’m finding myself more and more excited about upcoming unconferences. This event was small, casual, and extremely helpful.

In my goal of Speaking Less, Helping More I didn’t do a session. But I did try to add to the conversation as much as I could. Hopefully I wasn’t getting steely eyed glares from the other attendees hoping I’d just shut up!

Relatively speaking, the event was small. Maybe 30 people or so? But there were leaders from a number of users groups (mostly tech) from around the south. These were seasoned vets of working with community groups.

If you’d like to see a few of the pictures I shot, check out the Flickr set.

Thanks to everyone who organized the event!
