SXSW Panel Voting – I need your help!

SXSW 2009

For the last three years, I’ve sworn off speaking at SXSW. I’ve made bold proclamations that I’m going to have fun, stay out late, spend my time meeting and greeting, not speaking. Yet I find myself roped into a session so cool I can’t help but agree to the invitations.

This year, David Peck invited me to join his potential panel, “What Does A Community Manager Do?” In addition to David, I’d be joined by great company: Bill Johnston and Connie Bensen. If you’d like to see this session come to be, head over to the SXSW Panel Picker and vote it a five-star!

And of course, please spread the word… tell your friends and contacts that this will be the best panel ever!

Here’s the panel description:

We will discuss and answer just what an online community manager is and what they do. How do you measure what a CM does? How do I know if I need one? How does a company evangelist differ from this? What skill set does my CM need? Where do I find a CM? What personality traits does a CM need? These and many other questions will be answered about this up and coming position.
