Sponsor Conversation Lab

You don’t reach senior product leaders by running ads at them. You reach them by showing up consistently in the conversations they’re already having.

Conversation Lab is where those conversations happen.

What is Conversation Lab?

Conversation Lab is a two-part ecosystem built around one idea:
the craft of customer conversation is undervalued, underbuilt, and worth taking seriously.

The monthly event is a small, invitation-only virtual gathering of senior product, community, and customer experience leaders. Five people. No agenda. No sales. Just honest peer conversation about the real challenges of building customer relationships at scale. It’s been running for seven years.

The Conversation Lab Podcast is a weekly show about the craft of conversation — told through real conversations with designers, researchers, psychologists, community builders, and product leaders. Each episode explores how conversation functions in a guest’s specific world, where it breaks, and what product teams can learn from it.

Both reach the same audience: the people your marketing team is already trying to get in front of.

Who’s in the room?

Conversation Lab consistently brings together senior product managers, CPOs, community leaders, customer experience directors, and product-adjacent decision-makers at growing tech and software companies. These are practitioners with budget authority and real influence over tooling, methodology, and vendor relationships.

The event doesn’t attract thousands of people. It attracts the right ones.

Why this works

Most sponsorships sell you reach. This one sells you access.

The Conversation Lab audience isn’t large by design. It’s curated by design. The event has never been about volume — it’s been about getting five of the right people in a room every month for seven years. The podcast extends that same sensibility into a broader weekly conversation with the same kind of listener.

If your product or service is built for senior product leaders and you’re looking for a channel that puts you in direct, trusted, repeated contact with that audience — this is a more direct path than most.

SPONSORSHIP DETAILS

One package. Both properties. Six months.

$2,500/month | $15,000 for a 6-month commitment

Sponsoring Conversation Lab gives you consistent, integrated presence across both the monthly event and the weekly podcast — reaching the same curated audience through two distinct touchpoints over a sustained period.

Here’s what’s included:

On the podcast: Your sponsorship is acknowledged on every episode during your term. Twice across your six months, you’ll join the show for a short sponsor conversation. This is a genuine, on-topic conversation about something relevant to that episode’s theme. Not a scripted read. An actual conversation, which is kind of the point of Conversation Lab!

At the monthly event: Before and after each event, attendees hear that you made the gathering possible. You’re also named in the LinkedIn announcement that goes out before each event. At the end of each month, you receive an aggregated demographic report on who attended: roles, industries, company sizes. No names, no emails. Just enough to know the audience is real.

On LinkedIn: Your sponsorship is recognized across both properties in relevant posts throughout your term.

One relationship. One agreement. Consistent presence with a hard-to-reach audience for six months. And in a way that makes each listener/guest feel a sense of connection and appreciation. That’s something that ads just don’t get you.

Conversation Lab is produced by Jake McKee, customer engagement strategist and creator of the Customer Conversation Compass

Meet your HOst

Jake McKee helps product teams learn the important soft skill: conversation. It’s hard to build great products with secondhand insights, and reclaiming the relationship with your customers starts with great conversations.

Jake works hands on with teams to improve how they talk to customers, how they listen for what is actually being said, and how they turn those conversations into clear product decisions. The goal is not more research or more meetings. It is real capability, stronger alignment, and products that make sense to the people using them.

Over nearly three decades, Jake has built customer engagement and community programs for organizations like LEGO, Apple, EA Games, Southwest Airlines, Canon, and H&R Block. Conversation Lab extends that work into the open, exploring how conversation actually works, where it breaks down, and why better conversations lead to better decisions.
